Eleven Wonders’ new head coach, Emmanuel Aidoo, marked his debut with a thrilling 2-0 win over Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League.
This victory is a significant milestone for Aidoo, making him the first Eleven Wonders coach to win a match after both Nii Odartey Lamptey and J.E. Sarpong left the club without a win.
Aidoo’s team showed determination and organization, with goals from Mathew Amponsah and Edmund Afurapoe securing the win.
Amponsah headed home the opener in the 33rd minute, while Afurapoe doubled the lead in the 55th minute.
This win is a much-needed boost for Eleven Wonders, who remain at the bottom of the league table with six points.
Aidoo, who celebrated his birthday on match day, praised his team’s effort, saying, “Winning against Dreams FC is a great feeling. I told my boys to win this match for me, and that’s what they have done.”
Eleven Wonders will look to build on this momentum and move from the bottom of the tabel to avoid relegation when they host Swedru All Blacks in their next match.
