Ghana international Jerome Opoku has named Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as the most difficult opponent he has ever come up against
The İstanbul Başakşehir defender, who has faced top forwards across Europe, said the Super Eagles star demands total concentration from defenders throughout a match.
“Osimhen has made me switch on… I need to be 100%. If you give him one yard, he’ll be off in behind you,” Opoku told RG. “In terms of testing me and bringing the best out of me, I’d say he’s been my toughest opponent.”
Osimhen, currently in blistering form for Galatasaray, continues to dominate headlines with record-breaking goal-scoring feats, drawing admiration from opponents and clubs alike.
“Facing strikers like Osimhen only makes you better,” he added. “It motivates me to keep improving and to represent Ghana at the highest level.”
