Ghana Premier League side Nations Football Club have parted ways with head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his assistant Johnson Smith following a disappointing start to the 2025/26 campaign.

The club confirmed the decision on Sunday evening, shortly after their narrow 3–2 victory over Techiman Eleven Wonders, ending days of speculation about the future of the technical team.

“Nations FC have mutually parted ways with both Head Coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and Assistant Coach Johnson Smith.
We thank them for their service to the Club,” the club posted on X.

Nations FC have won just two of their opening seven matches, drawing twice and losing three times ; a stark contrast to their strong showing last season when they came close to winning the league title.

Club sources say management considered the team’s sluggish performances below expectations, prompting the decision to act early.

A new technical team is expected to be announced in the coming days as Nations FC aim to turn their season around.
