Spanish side Real Zaragoza have officially secured the long-term services of Ghanaian midfielder Yussif Saidu, activating the purchase clause in his loan agreement after a string of impressive performances this season.
The 20-year-old initially joined the Segunda División outfit on loan from Dansoman XI Wise, but his rapid rise through the ranks has earned him a five-year permanent contract.
Saidu first caught attention during his stint with Deportivo Aragón, Zaragoza’s youth side, where his technical ability and work ethic earned him a late-season promotion to the senior team in the 2024/25 campaign.
His pre-season form further cemented his place in the first team, and he has since featured in eight league matches, becoming a reliable figure in midfield for the Spanish club.
Confirming the deal, the club announced: “Saidu has now committed to Real Zaragoza for the remainder of this season and four more years, and the club congratulates him on this important step in his career. We’re still together, Saidu!”
The move marks another major step in the young Ghanaian’s journey from local football in Accra to one of Spain’s most historic clubs, signaling his growing reputation in European football.
