The National Sports Authority (NSA) has promised football fans a much-improved experience at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of Ghana’s final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash with Comoros on Sunday.

Following the Black Stars’ commanding 5-0 victory over the Central African Republic in Morocco, anticipation is high as Otto Addo’s men aim to seal qualification for their fifth World Cup appearance.

NSA Director General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah says his outfit has taken steps to make the atmosphere at the stadium more enjoyable for supporters.

“Obviously, we can’t do anything beyond our means, but we’re doing our best to ensure fans have a great experience each time they visit the Accra Sports Stadium,” he said.

“On Sunday, you’ll see an elevated experience again. We can’t do it all, it’s not Stamford Bridge, the Emirates, or Anfield but this is Ghana’s Wembley.”

The Black Stars, who sit atop Group I with 21 points from nine matches, continue their preparations on Friday and Saturday before the decisive encounter.

Kick-off against Comoros is scheduled for 19:00 GMT on October 12, 2025.
