Ghana FA communications director Henry Asante Twum has confirmed that the Black Stars will leave Accra at dawn for Morocco as preparations intensify for next week’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The contingent includes technical staff currently in Ghana and home-based players, who will be joined in Casablanca by their foreign-based teammates after this weekend’s club assignments.
“Today at dawn we leave Ghana ; the technical team members and home-based players that are here will travel. The foreign-based technical staff will meet us there on Sunday, and most of the players will join in Casablanca after their league matches,” Asante Twum explained in an interview with Peace FM.
Otto Addo’s squad is expected to be complete by Monday, allowing for three full training sessions before facing the Central African Republic at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes on October 8.
The Black Stars, chasing a fifth World Cup appearance, currently sit top of Group I with 19 points and just two games left in the qualification race.
