Kofi Adams urges caution against personal attacks on GFA officials amid Football challenges

Ghana’s Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, is cautioning against personal attacks on Ghana Football Association (GFA) personnel despite the challenges facing the country’s football.

Adams emphasized that problems should be addressed without personalizing them.

“I see problems to be solved, issues to be dealt with, but I don’t want to personalise the issues. First, when you enter into a space, you must not personalise the challenges until it is proven to you that the people are the problem. At that stage, if you go after the people, then you have every justifiable reason to do so,” he said in an interview with Citi FM.

Adams acknowledges having a good relationship with GFA officials, including Kurt, the association’s president, but stresses this won’t stop him from speaking out when necessary.

“People say we have a cozy relationship with the GFA… You can’t have the group you have given your national teams to run, and always being in confrontation with the head of the group. Then you won’t be able to sit around to have a conversation,” he added.
