Asante Kotoko skipper Samba O’niel says his side is determined to settle scores with Bibiani Gold Stars in Sunday’s Champion of Champions showdown.
The Porcupine Warriors fell short against Gold Stars in the Top Four competition, but the captain believes this clash provides the perfect chance to respond.
“We lost to Gold Stars in the Top Four and we are also coming for revenge in the Champion of Champions on Sunday,” O’niel stated.
The one-off tie, which serves as the traditional curtain-raiser for the Ghanaian football season, will see Kotoko, winners of the Premier League, battle FA Cup holders Gold Stars.
With silverware at stake and rivalry intensifying, Kotoko will be desperate to start the 2025/26 campaign on a high note.
