Bibiani GoldStars are mapping out their road to the CAF Champions League, with head coach Frimpong Manso banking on the GHALCA Top 4 and the Super Cup to sharpen his squad ahead of the continental stage.
The Ghana Premier League winners are set for a tough opening test against Algerian giants Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie (JSK) in the preliminary round.
But before turning their focus to Africa, they will line up against Asante Kotoko, Heart of Lions, and Hearts of Oak in the 2025 edition of the GHALCA Top 4 tournament.
Manso believes the competitive nature of these local contests will be crucial in preparing his men for the challenge ahead.
“The GHALCA Top 4 and the Super Cup will help us in our preparation towards our match with JSK. At the moment, we are looking at the first game,” he told Graphic Sports.
GoldStars will host JSK in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 19 before making the trip for the reverse fixture in Algeria a week later, on September 26.
