Striker Matthew Amoah could miss more games after being sidelined with illness

Ghana striker Matthew Amoah could be bound for lengthy spell on the sidelines after missing Heracles Almelo’s game with illness.

The experienced 33-year-old is already struggling with playing time at the club and missed Saturday’s game against PEC Zwolle after reporting sick.

Since his arrival at the club at the start of the season, the former Borussia Dortmund striker has struggled with injuries and failed to compete favourably for a place in Heracles’ regular squad.

The club has already disclosed it will discuss the future of the 2006 Ghana World Cup star at the end of the season along with compatriot Kwame Quansah.
