Juventus ace Juan Cuadrado has broken the silence on his contract situation with the Italian giants.
Cuadrado’s contract was automatically renewed when he made his 40th appearance of the season. However, it was reported that Juve no longer wanted to pay the original salary of €5m per season, instead of asking Cuadrado to spread the cost over two years instead.
“I am very happy at Juventus, at no point did I reject a proposal, because there were no negotiations. I have great respect for my club and my teammates.”
Cuadrado just turned 34 last month and has been wearing the Bianconeri jersey since 2015.
He made 45 competitive appearances this season, with five goals and seven assists.
