Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mohammed Kudus says the team must stay switched on for the full 90 minutes after their late collapse against Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup.

Spurs were cruising with a two-goal lead in Udine, thanks to strikes from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

However, PSG hit back in the dying stages through Kang-In Lee and Goncalo Ramos to force a penalty shoot-out.

The French champions eventually prevailed from the spot, leaving Tottenham to rue what might have been.

It’s disappointing to lose the game in the end,” Kudus admitted.

“This is a big lesson to stay focused for the whole 90 minutes. We had [PSG] for the most part of the game,” he said.

The Ghana international started the match and impressed with his energy and link-up play.
Spurs will now turn their attention to the Premier League, where they face newly promoted Burnley in their next fixture.
