Mohammed Kudus says Tottenham can take pride in their performance despite suffering a late setback against Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup.

Spurs looked on course for victory after goals from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero put them in control in Udine.

But PSG staged a dramatic late comeback, with Kang-In Lee and Goncalo Ramos scoring in the closing moments to level the game.

The match went to penalties, where the French side held their nerve to clinch the win.

Speaking after the match, Kudus said he was pleased with the team’s work ethic.

“I’m really proud of the team for their energy because we had [PSG] for most of the game,” he said.

The Ghanaian midfielder, who started the match, believes the display showed Spurs’ potential despite the result.

Tottenham’s focus now shifts to their upcoming Premier League clash against Burnley, where they will aim to bounce back.
