The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will introduce a performance-based reward system for the 2025/26 season, with prize money for clubs from 1st to 15th place in the Premier League.
Speaking at the 31st Ordinary Congress, GFA President Kurt Okraku said the move is aimed at making the league more competitive.
“In our desire to make our Premier League very competitive, the FA will reward each club depending on your team’s position at the end of the season,” he stated.
In addition, the Match Review Panel (MRP) will now meet three times a week to review all matches in the GPL, Women’s Premier League (WPL), and Division One League (DOL). All MRP decisions will be final, with no review process.
