Uganda secured their first win at the 2025 CAF TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) with a 3-0 victory over Guinea.
The match, held at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, saw Uganda dominate from start to finish.
Reagan Mpande scored the opening goal in the 31st minute, assisted by Joel Sserunjogi. Allan Okello doubled the lead in the 63rd minute with a penalty kick.
Ahimbisibwe sealed the win with the third goal in the 90th minute.
The result moves Uganda to second place in Group C with three points, level with Guinea who are third.
Algeria tops the group with four points, while South Africa and Niger trail behind.
The Group C standings are highly competitive, setting the stage for exciting matches in the upcoming games.
