Bechem United’s newly appointed head coach, Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway, has revealed that taking charge of the Hunters is the realisation of a dream he has nurtured for years.
The former Kotoku Royals boss signed a two-year deal ahead of the 2025/26 season, replacing Kwaku Danso, who has been elevated to the role of technical director.
“I have had Bechem United in my heart for the past three years and I knew one day I would coach this club,” Botchway said.
His arrival is part of sweeping technical changes as Bechem United aim to make a strong impact in the Ghana Premier League next season. Fans and analysts will be keeping a close eye on the team’s progress under the new setup.
Bechem United will open their campaign in September with a challenging away fixture against reigning champions Bibiani Gold Stars. The new season kicks off the weekend of September 12.
