GHC18m Premier League deal not funded by government – Prosper Harrison Addo

GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo has dismissed reports that the GHC18 million partnership between the FA and Adesa Production Limited is government-funded.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Addo clarified that the government only provided support in facilitating the deal but did not contribute direct funds.

“Government has not given us physical cash to invest in the league. Their role was to create an enabling environment for this partnership,” he said.

The new deal promises GHC1 million for each Premier League club and includes weekly live broadcasts and highlight shows. The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season begins in mid-September.
