Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku expressed his joy and relief after scoring for Leicester City in a pre-season friendly against Fiorentina on Sunday.
“Right now I’m feeling good. I’ve got more minutes and I still feel good and no pain in my knee,” he said to Leicester’s media.
Fatawu’s goal was a welcome return to form after a long layoff due to injury.
“The goal was something I was waiting for… I’m so happy that I came back to King Power with a goal.”
He also expressed his excitement to be back playing at King Power, missing the fans and the energetic atmosphere.
Fatawu is looking forward to the next match, feeling better and better with each game.
Leicester are eager to finish in the top two in the 2025/2026 Championship to return back to the Premier League.
