Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito says the result of their upcoming Toyota Cup clash with Kaizer Chiefs is not his main concern, as the game serves primarily as part of the club’s preseason preparations.
The Porcupine Warriors will face the South African giants on Saturday, July 26, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Speaking to the media, Zito addressed growing fan expectations but urged supporters to focus on the bigger picture.
“You can win today, lose tomorrow, and win again the next day,” he said. “That’s the reality of football. It’s a journey ; not just about results but constant improvement.”
Zito made it clear that while he respects fans’ passion, building a cohesive and competitive team for the 2025/26 season is the main goal.
