Black Queens forward Stella Nyamekye says the team is fully focused and mentally ready to take on South Africa in the third-place playoff at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana suffered a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat to Morocco in the semi-final, while Banyana Banyana lost 2-1 to Nigeria.

Ahead of Friday’s clash in Casablanca, Nyamekye told the media:

“We have prepared very well for this game. Per the training we have had, we are mentally prepared.”

It’s a rematch of their group-stage meeting, which ended 2-0 in favour of the South Africans
