Former President John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, is leading efforts to design modern sports stadia for Ghana’s newly created and underserved regions.
During a visit to the Western North Region as part of his nationwide ‘Thank You Tour,’ Mahama reaffirmed the government’s commitment to developing sports infrastructure across the country.
“The Minister of Sports and Recreation is overseeing the design of modern sports stadia for the six new regions and for those that do not have them,” he stated. “So, Western North is going to receive a modern sports stadium.”
The six targeted regions; Western North, Oti, North East, Bono East, Savannah, and Ahafo were established in 2019 to enhance local development through decentralization.
