Ghana’s U-20 side booked a semi-final spot at the 2025 WAFU Zone B Championship with a gritty 1-0 win over Benin on Wednesday in Prampram.

Golden Kick FC winger Bless Ege scored the decisive goal in the 52nd minute, finishing calmly from a captain Aziz Misbau through ball.

Despite going down to 10 men before the break after Kelvin Nkrumah’s second yellow, the Black Satellites held firm. Benin dominated the second half but failed to break through Ghana’s defence.

Peter Amidu Acquah came close to doubling the lead late on, but missed narrowly. Ghana finished second in Group A with four points, joining Nigeria in the semi-finals. Benin exited without a point.
