Accra Lions midfielder Jacob Gildas Awoute has sealed a move to UAE Pro League outfit FC Baniyas.
The 20-year-old completed the transfer following an impressive campaign in the Ghana Premier League despite his club’s relegation.
Awoute featured in 31 league matches, scoring two goals and delivering several standout performances.
He notably controlled the midfield in Accra Lions’ commanding 3-0 victory over giants Asante Kotoko.
His consistency and maturity in midfield earned him multiple Man of the Match awards throughout the season.
FC Baniyas see the Ghanaian as a long-term investment to bolster their engine room ahead of the new season.
