Accra Lions midfielder Jacob Gildas Awoute has completed a move to UAE Pro League outfit FC Baniyas after impressing in the Ghana Premier League.
The 20-year-old stood out in a tough season for the Lions, making 31 appearances, scoring twice, and earning multiple Man of the Match awards; including one in their dominant 3-0 win over Asante Kotoko.
Despite the club’s relegation, Awoute’s performances caught the eye of Baniyas, who confirmed his signing under the resident player quota.
He is set to join his new teammates in Serbia for pre-season and is expected to play a key role in the 2025/26 campaign.
