Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with Samartex FC for the permanent transfer of defensive midfielder Lord Hilary Adabo.
The deal, valued at GH¢200,000, will see the Porcupine Warriors pay an initial GH¢150,000 to finalize the move, with the remaining balance expected to be settled upon completion of formalities.
Adabo, who was instrumental in Samartex’s historic Ghana Premier League campaign last season, is set to sign a three-year contract with Kotoko.
Sources close to the deal reveal that medicals have been scheduled, and the transfer could be sealed by next week.
The 23-year-old’s arrival is expected to bolster Kotoko’s midfield options as they prepare for the 2025/26 season on the domestic scene and in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kotoko finished third in the Premier League last season but ended the campaign strongly with FA Cup triumph.
