Asante Kotoko coach Abdul Karim Zito is determined to lead his team to victory in the 2025 President’s Cup against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak.
The match is scheduled for Sunday, July 6, at the Accra Sports Stadium. Zito emphasized the importance of winning the trophy while speaking in his pre match conference saying, “We have to do everything possible to win. This is my second time controlling a team to play the President’s Cup. We will use it to motivate ourselves and then go for the Cup.”
Kotoko have lost the last two editions of the President’s Cup, first to ASEC Mimosas and then to Hearts of Oak.
Zito is keen to change this trend and bring the trophy to his team. The coach is focused on motivating his players to give their best and secure a win.
The 2025 President’s Cup kicks off at 4 pm, and both teams are expected to put up a fierce competition.
