Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu has taken a key step in his recovery from a long-term injury, returning to partial training with French side Stade Rennais on Monday.
The 24-year-old, who suffered an ACL injury earlier this year, has been sidelined for several months but is now edging closer to full fitness.
His return is a welcome boost for both Rennes and Ghana, with Seidu expected to play an important role in the upcoming season and potentially feature in the Black Stars’ 2026 World Cup qualifiers later this year.
Seidu joined Rennes from Clermont Foot in January but saw his debut campaign cut short due to the setback.
