Real Tamale United head coach Sarfo Castro has extended his contract with the club until 2026, despite falling short of Ghana Premier League promotion.
The club confirmed the news in a statement: “Coach Sarfo Castro extends his stay with Real Tamale United until 2026. A leader committed to our mission.”
Castro guided RTU to an impressive campaign in the Division One League, finishing top of Zone I with 18 wins, 4 draws, and 6 losses in 28 matches.
His side, however, missed out on promotion after a 2-1 defeat to Eleven Wonders in the playoff decider.
The 2024/25 season saw RTU rebuild after their relegation from the top flight. Under Castro, they showcased improved discipline, attacking intent, and a solid defensive structure; qualities the club believes are key to returning to the Premier League.
