Serie A side Atalanta have reached an agreement with Southampton to sign Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana in the current transfer window.

The deal is worth €17.5 million, with an additional €4 million in performance-related add-ons, taking the total potential fee to €21.5 million.

As part of the agreement, Southampton have secured a 15% sell-on clause for any future transfer.

Kamaldeen, 23, is expected to sign a four-year contract with Atalanta, with an option to extend for a fifth year.

Currently on holiday in Accra, the winger is set to cut his break short and travel to Bergamo for his medical examination tomorrow.

Sulemana joined Southampton from French side Stade Rennais in February 2023 for an initial fee of €25 million. His contract with the Saints was originally set to run until 2027.

During the 2024–25 season, he made 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists, as Southampton suffered relegation from the Premier League
