Reading FC captain Andy Yiadom has committed his future to the club by penning a new one-year contract extension, which will keep him at the Select Car Leasing Stadium until 2026.
The 32-year-old full-back, who has been with the Royals since 2018, has amassed over 200 appearances.
He battled through a challenging 2024/25 season due to injury but has now returned to full fitness ahead of the new campaign.
Reading’s chairman, Rob Couhig, commended Yiadom for his dedication during his time on the sidelines. “It’s been a tough year for Andy, but he handled it with professionalism and determination. His presence is invaluable as we look to move forward,” Couhig said.
Manager Noel Hunt also welcomed the defender’s renewal, emphasizing his importance to the squad. “Yiadom’s influence is huge both in the dressing room and on the pitch. He came back strong late last season, and he’s looking sharp for pre-season,” Hunt noted.
Yiadom’s renewal brings experience and leadership to a Reading side eager to improve after a difficult spell in recent seasons.
