Ghanaian youngster Abdul Aziz Issah has expressed immense joy after making his senior debut for the Black Stars in their recent international friendly against Trinidad and Tobago at the Gtech Community Stadium in London.
The 19-year-old winger, who currently plays for Barcelona B, was handed his first appearance by coach Otto Addo, marking a significant milestone in his rise through the national team ranks — from the U-20 level to the senior team.
“I feel very good; it’s a dream come true,” he told ghanafa.org. “Every player in Ghana wants to play for the Black Stars. I feel very proud playing for the senior national team from the youth level, the U-20, to the national team. It’s a great achievement. I feel very proud and very happy for that.”
Issah was a key part of the Ghana U-20 squad that impressed during his time with Dreams FC, and his senior debut comes just a year after moving to Spain to join Barcelona’s youth setup where he is now back after Barcelona did not activate his loan deal
