Head coach of Bibiani Gold Stars Stephen Frimpong Manso, is currently in Ivory Coast participating in the FIFA Talent Development Scheme, following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The former Ghana international joins a select group of national team coaches representing the country in this global initiative aimed at improving youth development systems across member associations.
Organised by FIFA, the Talent Development Scheme brings together elite coaching minds to exchange ideas and explore best practices for identifying and nurturing young football talents worldwide.
Manso’s involvement is seen as a major step forward for both the club and the local football community, with expectations high that the experience gained will translate into long-term benefits.
Club officials say they are proud of their head coach’s selection and believe the insights he gathers will be instrumental in strengthening their technical setup.
The programme also reflects FIFA’s commitment to building stronger football foundations through coach education and structured talent pathways.
Manso is expected to return ahead of pre-season preparations as his club eyes a stronger campaign in the upcoming league season.
He led Gold Stars to their maiden Premier League title and hopes to make a mark in next season’s CAF Champions League.
