Asante Kotoko have confirmed the signing of forward Johnson Oppong on a two-year contract, making him their third acquisition ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The pacey and versatile attacker joins the Porcupine Warriors after spells with several Ghanaian sides and a stint in Europe.
Kotoko described him as “a quick and dynamic winger” who bolsters their attacking options as they gear up for a return to the CAF Confederation Cup after a two-year absence.
Oppong’s arrival follows the signings of left-back Francis Acquah from Bechem United and midfielder Hubert Gyau from Berekum Chelsea as the club continues reshaping its squad for both domestic and continental campaigns.
Kotoko finished third in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League but ended the season on a high with FA Cup glory, earning them qualification to the CAF inter-club competition.
Meanwhile, a number of departures have also been confirmed, with Frederick Asare, Daniel Adrian Adjetey, Kwasi Asante, Samuel Tenadu, and Sampson Eduku all exiting the club by mutual consent.
