Former Asante Kotoko striker Obed Owusu has called on the club to aim for the final of the CAF Confederation Cup, following their recent qualification with a 2-1 FA Cup victory over Golden Kick at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Owusu, who featured in Kotoko’s 2019 continental campaign, believes the team has the potential to surpass their previous performance if they start preparations early and maintain strong unity between players and the technical team.
“We saw how electric the atmosphere was at Baba Yara when we beat teams like Zesco and Hilal,” he said. “If Kotoko prepares well and stays focused, they can go all the way this time. I couldn’t win it when I had the chance, but I believe this squad can.”
