Medeama begin squad overhaul following underwhelming 2023/24 league season

Medeama Sporting Club has initiated a squad restructuring exercise in preparation for the 2025/26 football season. The Tarkwa-based club had an inconsistent 2024/25 season, failing to win the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup trophies. Despite the season ending recently, Medeama SC has started preparing for the next season by terminating the contracts of three players: Michael Enu, Michael Sarpong, and Francis Andy Kumi.The club is reportedly in talks with top talents and plans to recruit players to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. Medeama SC aims to build a formidable team that will compete for trophies. According to the Ghana Football Association, the 2025/26 football season will run from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.With the new season approaching, Medeama SC is taking proactive steps to revamp their team and improve their performance.
