Thomas Partey backs Mohammed Kudus to rediscover form amid “difficult” season

Arsenal and Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has come to the defense of West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus, saying that quality is not an issue for the talented midfielder despite a difficult campaign.

According to Partey, Kudus remains one of the best players in Ghana and is a star boy for the Black Stars.

Kudus struggled to replicate his fine first season form in the just ended season, contributing to a mere eight goals in 32 league games, which is in contrast to the 14 contributions in his first season.

“I think it was a difficult year for Kudus in terms of goals. But when it comes to quality, you can never say it was a difficult year for him. For me, I always know he is one of the best we have in the country and he is our star boy,” Partey said at the Ghana Football Awards.

Kudus has been linked to moves elsewhere as he seeks to take on a new challenge.

Despite the growing interest in the Ghanaian, West Ham are holding out for clubs to meet his €85m valuation.
