Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has expressed the Black Stars’ desire to feature at the 2026 World Cup.
With recent wins over Chad and Madagascar in March in the qualifying series, Ghana tops Group I with 15 points, having four matches left to qualify.
Speaking to 3Sports, Partey emphasized the team’s optimism about playing at the Mundial for the fifth time.
“As players, we want to be at the World Cup. We were there the last time, and we saw how nice it is, and we want to be there again, so hopefully we win the rest of the games, and we will be there,” Partey said.
The Black Stars will regroup in September for crucial matches against Chad and Mali. With their current position, Ghana is in a strong position to qualify.
The team’s focus is on winning the remaining games to secure a spot at the World Cup.
