Ghanaian midfielder Sharif Osman has completed a loan move to Bulgarian top-flight club CSKA 1948 ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 22-year-old joins from Ghanaian side Inter Millas and will stay with the Sofia-based club until the end of the campaign.
Osman’s move follows his impressive spell with second-tier side Etar Veliko Tarnovo, where he made 19 appearances and scored one goal during the 2024/25 season. His contract with Etar expired just days ago, opening the door for the deal.
Known for his strong defensive instincts, energy, and ball-winning ability, Osman is expected to add grit and balance to CSKA 1948’s midfield as they push to challenge for the Bulgarian First League title.
“Sharif is a player with immense potential. His ability to read the game and cover ground will be crucial for us,” a source close to the club told local media.
CSKA 1948 has been active in the transfer market this summer as they look to compete with Bulgarian giants Ludogorets and CSKA Sofia.
Founded in 2016, the club has risen rapidly and sees Osman’s arrival as another step forward in their long-term ambitions.
With a market value of €125,000, according to Transfermarkt, Osman’s loan offers him a chance to test himself at a higher level. He is expected to link up with the team immediately and could make his debut in the club’s next fixture.
