Ghana national team head coach Otto Addo is set to have his full squad in camp today as the Black Stars gear up for their opening match in the 2025 Unity Cup against Nigeria.
The team began preparations on Monday, May 26, with an initial group of 16 players taking part in training at their base in England. Notable names included Jordan Ayew, Majeed Ashimeru, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Brandon Thomas-Asante.
Midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah joined the camp later on Monday evening, while six additional players—Ebenezer Annan, Mohammed Salisu, Felix Afena-Gyan, Ibrahim Sulemana, Aaron Essel, and Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini are expected to arrive today, completing the 23-man squad.
Ghana will face arch-rivals Nigeria on Wednesday, May 28, at the GTech Community Stadium in West London.
The highly anticipated clash will determine which side progresses to the final of the four-nation Unity Cup tournament.
Also competing in the tournament are Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. The winner of the Ghana vs. Nigeria semifinal will take on the victor of that matchup in the final, scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025.
The Unity Cup is part of efforts to promote cultural ties through football, drawing attention from fans across Africa and the Caribbean.
