Kurt Okraku confident of Black Stars securing World Cup berth

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku is optimistic about the Black Stars’ chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

After a tough 2024, the team bounced back in 2025 with two wins in their last two games, beating Chad 5-0 and Madagascar 3-0. These victories have boosted their chances, and they currently top Group I with 15 points.

“I have absolute belief that Black Stars will fight for qualification to the 2026 World Cup,” Okraku said in an interview with GhOne TV.

The team’s upcoming schedule includes a four-nation tournament in London, followed by matches against Chad and Mali in September as part of Matchday 7 and 8 games of the qualifiers.

The Black Stars’ strong performance has renewed hopes for qualification, and Okraku’s confidence reflects the team’s growing momentum.

The 2026 World Cup is set to be hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada, and Ghana aims to secure a spot in the prestigious tournament.

With their current form, the Black Stars are determined to make a strong impression on the world stage.
