Kwesi Appiah has turned back the clock in sensational fashion this season, leading Boreham Wood to promotion with a series of standout performances that earned him a trio of personal accolades.

The 34-year-old former Ghana international was the heartbeat of the team’s attack, finishing the campaign with an incredible 24 goals in 35 appearances, including two stunning hat-tricks.

His prolific form not only powered Boreham Wood to the National League but also earned him Players’ Player of the Season, Supporters’ Player of the Season, and the coveted Golden Boot.

Appiah’s impact on and off the pitch hasn’t gone unnoticed. Revered by teammates and adored by fans, the striker has become a central figure at the club in what has been one of the most successful seasons in Boreham Wood’s history.

Taking to social media after the final whistle of the season, Appiah expressed his gratitude and ambition:

“Promotion! Players’ Player of the Season, Supporters’ Player of the Season, Top Goal Scorer. Honored. Humbled. Now it’s time to rest, reset, and prepare for the next challenge. The journey continues!”

Best known on the international stage for helping Ghana to a silver medal at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, Appiah has used his wealth of experience to guide a determined Boreham Wood side through a demanding campaign.

With promotion now secured, the veteran striker has set his sights on an even bigger goal: pushing the team toward League One in the upcoming season.
