Berekum Chelsea coach Samuel Boadu has looked back at his team’s slender 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians ended Chelsea’s ten-game unbeaten home run at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
Mawuli Wayo’s 56th-minute goal proved decisive in a competitive match.
“The result is not the true reflection of the match. It quite unfortunate,” Boadu said in his post-match assessment.
“The goal we conceded is unpardonable. It’s football, there is nothing that we can do. We did our best to comeback but it didn’t happen. We’ve realized our mistakes and will go back and work on them.”
The loss marks Hearts’ third consecutive win over Boadu, their former coach, and extends their unbeaten run against Chelsea to ten matches.
The defeat hurts Chelsea’s push for a strong finish to the season, while Hearts solidify their top-half position.
Despite the loss, Boadu acknowledged his team’s efforts, highlighting areas for improvement.
