Hearts of Oak have opened talks with defender Konadu Yiadom as they try to extend his stay at the club before his current contract runs out at the end of the season.
The club is keen to avoid losing the centre-back on a free transfer and has already contacted his representatives, though no official offer has been made yet.
Reports suggest that a top-tier Ghana Premier League club is interested in signing Yiadom and may already have long-term plans in place.
Yiadom joined Hearts of Oak in August 2022 and has become a regular figure in defence. This season, he has played 15 league matches and registered one assist.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Ukrainian side Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih but returned to Ghana at the start of the 2024/25 campaign after struggling for game time abroad.
Hearts are hoping to make progress in discussions in the coming days as they look to keep hold of one of their key defenders
