Former Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah says he’s excited about Thomas Partey’s progress in the ongoing season.
Partey has been a standout performer for Arsenal this term, overcoming previous injury struggles to shine in the Premier League.
The midfielder has scored four goals and provided two assists in 33 games, cementing his importance to the team.
Speaking on the footie center podcast, Jonathan Mensah, praised Partey’s form, saying, “I’m glad Thomas is playing well, even though collectively, you know, it could be so much better. But I’m happy he’s shining individually. Hopefully, next season, they [Arsenal] won’t release another episode.”
Arsenal missed an opportunity to win a trophy in the ongoing campaign after their Champions League semi-final defeat to PSG.
Notably, Partey’s absence from the team against PSG in the Champions League semi-finals coincided with Arsenal’s 1-0 loss, ultimately leading to a 3-1 aggregate defeat.
Arsenal, currently second, are set to finish in the Premier League top four, earning an automatic qualification spot in next season’s Champions League.
