Egypt coach Osama Nabih believes his players have gained psychological stability after beating Ghana 5-4 on penalties to qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup.

The win has given them “peace of mind to focus on playing their football,” Nabih told CAF online.

“The pressure of qualifying for the World Cup was massive. Now that the players have done it, they’ve gained psychological stability. It gives them peace of mind to focus on playing their football,” Nabih added ahead of Egypt’s semi-final match against Morocco.

The victory marked a significant milestone for Egypt, securing their spot in the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s Black Satellites missed out on qualification after losing to Egypt in the quarterfinals. Despite their exit, Ghana’s players were praised for their fighting spirit during the tournament.

With their sights set on the semi-finals, Egypt looks to build on their momentum against Morocco.
