Former Black Stars midfielder Agyemang-Badu has made a bold assertion ahead of Ghana’s U20 AFCON game against Egypt.
The Black Satellites face the hosts for a place in the semi-finals of the competition on Monday.
Ghana, who are yet to lose a game in the ongoing competition, have won two and drawn one, placing them in a good position.
However, goals have been few and far for Ghana, scoring three times in three games.
One of Ghana’s goals, against Senegal on matchday two, was set-up by Jerry Afriyie, who left camp after the said game.
His departure was part of an initial agreement between CD Lugo and the Ghana Football Association.
However, Afriyie has returned to the fold ahead of Ghana’s quarter-final game – a timely boost which ex U20 winner Agyemang-Badu believes will work in Ghana’s favour.
“It’s very good to have players like this in your team. We thank the FA and his club for allowing him come. He will score for us and we are going to qualify,” he told 3Sports.
