Nations FC defeated Asante Kotoko 2-0 in a Ghana Premier League match at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.
Nafui Sulemana opened the scoring in the 15th minute, and Emmanuel Annor sealed the win with a second goal.
Despite dominating possession in the second half, Asante Kotoko’s solid defense by Okoh Grippman and Osei Kuffour couldn’t withstand the Nations FC attack.
This marks back-to-back defeats for the Porcupine Warriors, following their loss to Accra Lions.
The result drops Asante Kotoko to 4th place with 47 points after 28 games.
They’ll host Aduana FC next at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Nations FC, now second on the table with 51 points, will travel to Dormaa to face Berekum Chelsea.
