Senegal coach Joseph Francois Koto is surprised by his team’s impeccable form in the WAFU Nations Cup where his team now faces Ghana in the grand finale.
The Lions of Teranga Lions beat Liberia 2-0 on Tuesday to complete a clean sweep of wins in Group B to make the finals.
Senegal had earlier accounted for Togo and Niger in the group and are now the only side in the competition to boast of a 100 percent record.
Koto himself is left impressed with his team’s sizzling form ahead of Thursday’s clash against hosts Ghana in the finals of the regional competition in Kumasi.
“I am very happy because we won the three group games against (Togo, Niger and Liberia) and that was important to us,†he said.
“Now, we are in the final and everything is possible then. If I had been told that we would make the final, I would have doubted but it is now a reality.”
