Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President George Kwasi Afriyie has pointed fingers at GFA President Kurt Okraku, accusing him of masterminding his disqualification from the presidential elections in October 2023.
Afriyie’s disqualification stemmed from his alleged misinterpretation of the criteria for contesting the GFA Presidency.
As a result, Kurt ran for the position unopposed, securing his spot for the second time.
In an interview with TV Xyz George said: “I want to tell Ghanaians something today.
“The current GFA president Kurt Okraku masterminded my disqualification from the GFA presidential election. He is the brain exactly behind, because he want to go unopposed to become the president to lead the Football Association.”
After the election, George took the case to Court of Arbitration for Sports but was later dismissed.
