Ghana defender Alexander Djiku is likely to miss the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger due to an injury sustained in the Turkish Super League for Fenerbahçe.
Djiku was forced to leave the field in the 53rd minute following a collision with a Trabzonspor player, an incident that resulted in a penalty for the home team.
Despite the setback, Fenerbahce emerged with a 3-2 victory.
The Black Stars are set to face Angola in Luanda on November 15 and host Niger in Accra on November 18.
His absence would be a significant blow for the team as they aim to secure much-needed wins to keep their AFCON dreams alive.
Djiku, who has made 29 appearances and scored two goals for Ghana, has been a reliable presence in the national defense.
